Some people call them boat beers. I call them beach beers. They are the thirst quenching light beers you want to drink many of while sweating your butt off in the sun. Long before I became part owner of Frothy Beard, my absolute favorite beach beer has been It’s Cucumber Thyme.
I honestly have never had a beer as refreshing as this one. It’s a 5.5% American Wheat with fresh cucumber and thyme. The boys didn’t have any particular inspiration for this beer other than they thought it would taste good.
Now, I know what you’re thinking: It’s winter. Why are you writing about a beach beer in January?
Because as I write this its 71 degrees in Charleston. Sure, we saw like 4 snowflakes last week, but let’s be real. It’s warm. It’s always Cucumber Thyme time in Charleston.
Andale will always be my favorite, but It’s Cucumber Thyme comes in at a close second. Come drink a pint and you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.
